Our practice offers a wide range of services which use technology to improve communication and access to the practice.
Our online services include:
- Booking appointments
- Cancelling appointments
- Ordering repeat prescriptions
- Viewing medical records
- Change of contact information
All these services are available to you at your convenience by registering at the practice for online services or using the NHS App.
Before you can register for these services you need to read our Online Access booklet, available to download here and complete the form on the back (forms are available at reception or by email if you prefer).
To complete your registration, you need to return your form in person to the surgery with the appropriate identification (see booklet for advice) and the receptionist will provide you with a letter containing your personal Access ID and security PIN.
If you choose to register through the NHS App, follow the instructions provided to confirm your identification.
Please note access to records can take up to 6 weeks to be switched on depending on demand.

If you have any concerns about the security of your online account, contact the practice immediately.
Online consultations
We have introduced an online service called ‘Patient Triage by Accurx’. Patients of the practice can use this service to request help for non-urgent medical problems and administrative queries (ordering prescriptions or fit notes). In most instances the practice will endeavor to respond to your query within 2 working days, if you have not received a response from the practice after this time period please contact us on 01472 801234.

SMS Text Messaging
The practice uses AccuRx text messaging service to communicate with our patients in many ways including:
- Planned appointment reminder.
- Invitation for health review with a link to booking.
- Test results.
- Health questionnaires.
- Fit notes.
- Photo of lesions or rash for triaging.
- Keeping patients up to date with practice information and changes.
The development of this service has grown exponentially over the last 18 months, and we continue to find new and innovative ways of using the service to improve the patient experience, the service has also helps to reduce our carbon footprint by cutting the number of documents sent by mail.
